Pastoral Support at The Bromfords School Sixth Form
Here at The Bromfords School Sixth Form students receive excellent Pastoral Support. Students are supported with many aspects including both academic support as well as personal.
For those students that find it more difficult to plan their independent study time effectively, they have the opportunity to meet weekly with Mrs Shaw to constructively plan their timetable to ensure all their deadlines are met. Students also seek support from Pastoral if they have any worries or concerns about their lessons or subjects. We support students and liaise with teachers and parents if needed. Meetings can be booked to discuss any concerns a student may have and to resolve any issues.
From a more personal aspect we are also here for students to discuss any personal worries or concerns they have. If we felt a students well-being or mental health were a concern to us we can make referrals to support them depending on the circumstances. Mostly all that is required is someone to talk to and someone to understand the difficulties a young adult can experience.
We have an open door policy here in our Sixth Form and we work hard to make all students feel that they can talk to us at any time and we are approachable and want them to feel happy to do so. We get to know our students on a personal level and are interested in their lives and their progress and enjoy very much sharing in their successes.
